Balinese Architecture: Uluwatu

Considered one of the six spiritual pillars of Bali, Uluwatu is perched on top of a sheer cliff face, and a stone walkway winds around the cliff's edge. As with all Balinese temples, foreigners are not permitted entrance. On the exterior of the temple, the two gates to the greater temple complex have leaf and flower carvings.
